Terms & Conditions

Please read the following terms and conditions before making any booking with us.
A copy will be enclosed with your booking form for you to sign and return.

1. Roman J Entertainment will require a 50% deposit to secure your booking.
2. If the CLIENT cancels the booking or the event does not take place for any reason then the deposit will be forfeit. A cancellation fee of not less than one half of the agreed fee will also be applied for. Full payment will be sought if cancellation is made within 14 days of the performance date or if we can show that another function has been refused for the same date on the basis of this agreement. Cancellation notification must be in writing and receipt of such notification will be confirmed in writing.
3. The balance is to be paid 14 days prior to the event by BACS or alternatively in cash at the start of the function if previously agreed. Once a booking is confirmed this is your guarantee of the date you have requested.
4. Roman J Entertainment will conduct themselves in a manner befitting the engagement and will respond to the CLIENTS requests relating to dress code, volume levels, music played, equipment location or any other reasonable request.
5. Roman J Entertainment will require access to a properly earthed mains electricity supply, sufficient to allow safe usage of the required equipment for the performance. If the supply is inadequate then the amount of equipment may be reduced. If we consider that the electricity supply or any other aspect of the event is unsafe then we reserve the right to refuse to start or continue the performance after consultation with the CLIENT. The provisions of clause 2 may also apply.
6. Roman J Entertainment will use their best endeavours to attend the function. Should they be prevented from attending for any reason, including accident or sudden illness, Roman J Entertainment may use the services of other DJ’s who have proven track records and can be trusted to provide you an excellent service.
   If this is not acceptable then the CLIENT will receive a full refund of all monies paid to Roman J Entertainment for that function. However we will not incur any additional liability for non-appearance.
7. Licences for the performance of recorded music are only required at public events. In most cases private parties, such as wedding receptions, birthdays etc., which are by their nature invitation only and attract no entrance fee do not require a licence. It is the CLIENTS responsibility to obtain such licences if any other than our normal licensing regulations apply. Should Roman J Entertainment be prevented from performing due to the absence of any appropriate licence or similar permission or should the performance be cancelled for any other reason then the provisions of clause 2 will apply.
8. Roman J Entertainment will require adequate setting up time prior to the performance and a sufficient period afterwards to dismantle and remove their equipment from the venue. The amount of time required is dependent on the package selected and the minimum is annotated on the disco planner.
9. The CLIENT is responsible for providing adequate supervision of all guests, staff and customers at the venue and will be liable for any loss or damage to equipment caused by guests, staff or customers. Any equipment must be repaired or replaced at your expense. We will provide details of reputable suppliers for replacement equipment or repairers of this specialist equipment. Any verbal or aggressive behaviour toward staff will not be tolerated and may result in the termination of your event with a loss of any monies paid to date.
10. The CLIENT warrants that they are entitled to use the venue for the purposes of the event and performance and that the event does not breach any law, byelaw or conditions imposed on the property.
11. Only staff of Roman J Entertainment will be allowed to operate the equipment. If you have a favourite song on your phone or iPod type device we will endeavour to accommodate this request providing it is not using services such as YouTube as this type of media is not licensed for public or other performance by DJ’s.
12. Please note that we do not allow for bands or acts of any kind to connect instruments and the like into our systems as this can potentially cause damage to our speakers and other equipment. If you also have a band booked for your function please ensure they are able to provide their own PA systems to use during their performance.
13. We will not be responsible for any damage to property or personal effects caused by your guests or uninvited guests.
14. Any extension of playing time is purely at the discretion of Roman J Entertainment and may be subject to other constraints that the venue may impose. However we will do their best to accommodate any such requests where possible. Fees for extended times are advised on your booking form provided.
15. You agree to us using images and video of your event for promotional material on our website or Facebook site.
16. The CLIENT engaging Roman J Entertainment and us accepting the engagement confirms acceptance of all these terms and conditions by signing then returning the agreement provided.
